As the year draws to a close, we are reminded of the many Goldstein Law Group successes. Something that stands out is the community partnerships we’ve developed and strengthened.
One local organization we proudly back is The Pantry of Broward, a non-profit agency that supports local seniors and grandparents raising grandchildren. The GLG team hosted a successful Thanksgiving food drive, collecting 927 pounds of canned food to help provide holiday meals for many in need. This week, a group from the firm visited the Pantry to wrap holiday gifts for children sponsored by the organization. Assisting the Pantry during the holidays is rewarding, but we are reminded that the group’s needs are year-round. We look forward to assisting this important organization throughout 2015.
In September, GLG Partner Brian Tenzer and Senior Associate Zasha Rodriquez volunteered as co-chairs of the Honor Flight South Florida fundraising committee, the local arm of a non-profit organization created to honor America’s veterans for their sacrifice and service. This unique group transports vets, primarily World War II survivors and terminally ill veterans, to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials. Brian and Zasha helped host two successful events this fall and are developing a 2015 Honor Flight fundraising plan. In addition, the firm has sponsored Brian to escort veterans on an upcoming flight.
A dozen and counting. That’s how many years we’ve organized a GLG Habitat for Humanity team build. It’s a day the entire firm anticipates, and this spring’s event was just as fun and rewarding as years past.
Looking toward 2015, it’s important to remind ourselves there are those in the community who need some extra assistance. As a firm, we plan to do our part to help bridge this gap.
